Last summer after our yard was finished, Calissa was anxious to plant things in her planter box. She planted carrots and spinach. Unfortunately they didn't do well and died. This year it looked like she had carrots coming up again in her garden box. However, we have weeds in our yard that look the same. We have been watching them for the last month and have even pulled a couple out to see if they might be carrots. Each one looked like a weed. We decided to leave them in until they got a little bigger just in case they were carrots. Last Saturday, Calissa went out to check on her garden (she planted strawberries and a tomato plant a few weeks ago too) and pulled one of the bigger weed/carrots. Guess what? I guess she's growing carrots and not just weeds! She was so excited! Glad to see that she is having some success this year with her garden! Now we just need to see if she'll eat them, or not!
