Cars Beware!

Calissa decided today to take off her training wheels! She caught on super quick and after about 30 minutes she can now start, stop and turn! Way to go Calissa! (She does seem to go very close to the cars on the street, but didn't crash into any ... although we were a little worried about the Volvo next door!)

What we did last week

What we did last week ...
Parker went to Wente to Scout Camp.
(He will post about it soon!)
Conner attended a week long tennis camp from 9-12 each day.
He had a great time and learned a lot!

We went to Jump Sky High with the Pulu's and Drew, Tina, Christopher and Lindsay on Thursday and Travis sprained his ankle.

We went to Chuck E Cheese with Drew and Christopher.

We also went swimming a couple of times. It was a fun and busy week!
On top of all of that. Travis went to scout camp on Wednesday night and girl's camp on Friday. He enjoyed his time with the youth and put a lot of miles on his car!

Can we go to Uncle Drew and Aunt Tina's?

I've been hearing every day,
"Can we go to Uncle Drew and Aunt Tina's house?"
Why, you may ask?So Calissa can do this ...
and Conner can do this.
(Conner likes to hold baby Lindsay as well ... but loves playing video games with Uncle Drew too!)

Big Night for Conner!

Last Thursday night we attended our last pack meeting!
(Is that the Hallelujah Chorus I hear in the background? Just kidding ... sort of)
Conner and pack got together for an outdoor pack meeting. The Webelos started the night off by building a campfire. (We all definitely smelled like campfire by the time we got home!)
Conner has worked hard and had earned two more activity pins and finished off the requirements for his Arrow of Light.
Here he is with his arrow.
(As I was looking at these pictures I think I might need to color my hair! I've been resisting but looking at this picture up close, the gray really stands out! Yikes!)

Here is Conner pinning on the Arrow of Light mom pin and he didn't poke me.

Conner also bridged over to boy scouts that night as well. Big night for Conner!

Here is Brother Crow welcoming his two newest scouts. Conner and Lincoln!

They are joining the Road Runner Patrol.

Congratulations Conner. We are very proud of all of your hard work!
(... and glad that cub scouts is over! Shhh! Don't tell!)

Conner, You're an All-Star!

Well, our all-star season has finally come to a close. It lasted a lot longer than it normally does. Conner's 10 year-old team ended up winning 3 of 5 games and did a wonderful job! Eventually, they just ran out of pitching for that last game. They ended up making it to the final 8 teams and both teams that they lost to made it to the final three and one is still playing. Here is the first game at Concord American. It was nice for the boys to play on their own field, but they ended up getting killed!
#10 Conner Burr ... all around player!

He loved getting to play catcher again! He hadn't played catcher at all this season. He mostly played 2nd base. During the post season he played catcher, 2nd base, short-stop and 3rd base.

On base!
Game 2 was at Concord American and they beat Antioch 22-8!
Conner only played part of game 1, but then his coach let him play all of games 2-5. Only 5 boys get to play the whole game and he was lucky enough to be one of them. It was great seeing his confidence increase as the games progressed.

Game 3 was at Continental and they played Pittsburg and won 4-0. What a great game that was. They kept getting out of jams and didn't let the other team score. Conner threw a guy out from catcher at 2nd base. He did that several times during the all-stars and he was really excited about it!
Game 4 was at Continental again and they played Martinez. Another exciting game. At the end of the night it was tied 10-10 and our boys just kept battling back. They would get behind and then battle back to tie. The game got called due to darkness and they were scheduled to finish their tie on Wednesday in East County (Oakley).

Game 4 was finished in Oakley on Wednesday. The other team scored one run and the pressure was on our boys to score as well. Conner walked and got on base. He made it all the way to 3rd base when Josh hit the ball and Conner got to score the winning run! He was pretty excited.

Game 5, they ended up losing to Lafayette by quite a lot. We were so proud of Conner and his team. They showed a lot of heart and won more games than anyone thought was possible!

Jumping Sky High!

Tuesday morning we went to check out a new place called "Sky High." It is a warehouse filled with trampolines. It is $10 per hour/per person, but on Wednesday they have a deal. 2 hours for $12. We were planning on going on Wednesday, but Conner had a baseball game that night (and he couldn't get worn out!) so we decided to go on Tuesday morning instead. Drew, Tina and Christopher joined us. (Tina and I didn't jump) We had the place pretty much to ourselves! Christopher's face was priceless when he walked on to the trampolines!
Here is Conner playing Dodge Ball.

Uncle Drew and Calissa playing as well.
My camera couldn't catch them since there were moving so much!
I think Uncle Drew had more fun than the kids.
Calissa was pretty good at dodging the ball. They said she was hard to hit since she is so small.

Conner, Uncle Drew and Calissa getting ready to jump off the trampoline into the foam pit!

Christopher is very sweaty!

Here is Parker doing a front flip into the pit.

Bouncing off the walls too!

Happy, sweaty and worn out kids!

Fun at Uncle Drew and Aunt Tina's

Saturday, Drew and Tina invited us over for a BBQ and swim to celebrate Christopher's 3rd birthday. Here are a few fun pictures from the day.Conner is hiding behind the dragon.
Calissa on the dragon.

Do you think Parker needs all of those inflatables? NO! He was having fun stacking them all on though!

Our kiddos.
This took several tries, but finally caught one on camera.

Heading down the slide into the pool.
No pool slide ... no problem!

Conner trying to land on the dragon.
We learned that we needed to hold the dragon's tail down to make it work.
It worked!
Calissa's turn.

Thanks Drew and Tina for a fun afternoon and a yummy lunch!
Oh ... and Happy Birthday Christopher!
