Varsity Volleyball Tournament

The boys had an all-day volleyball tournament in Novato last Saturday.  We met at 6:45 in the morning to carpool there.
Here is (almost) all of the team.
Getting ready to start the day.  Go Concord!
They hadn't practiced in a week because of Spring Break.  Their first set ended up going 33-31 and ended in a loss. Here is Parker jumping up to block with John.
 Parker serving.
 Conner serving.
Parker jumping up for a spike.
 Conner setting (most likely Parker).
The boys reffed the first game and then ended up playing 6 games straight for a total of 14 sets.  There were a lot of close ones too, so they played A LOT of Volleyball on Saturday. They had no rest time and no time to eat.  I think they only came out to eat one time between games for a total of about 15 minutes. However, they ended up going 3-3 and won the Silver Division Championship!
Coach Romer talking to the boys after the final game.
The head ref in charge of the tournament presenting the plaque to Parker, the team captain.
 Congrats Coach and congrats CHS!
 Concord on three!
The winning team!

This is how the boys felt after all that Volleyball!  They were super sore and very tired!
Trying to take a picture of coach!  (It's hard to get one of him!)
After the tournament, most of the boys talked us into going to pizza.

They managed to eat 4 extra large pizzas and 24 garlic twists.  They were hungry.  Then, we headed back home in the traffic!  UGH!!!
When we got home, I rushed to the mail box to see if this was inside!!
Parker was super excited that his mission call had come in the mail (after only two weeks).  He decided that he wanted his friends and family there, and since it was already about 7:30 pm and we'd been gone for 13 hours, he decided to wait until Sunday night at 7:00 to open it.
