Finding Neverland!

We were able to go as a family to see "Finding Neverland" last Saturday in San Francisco.
We parked a little ways away and walked through oodles of homeless people.
We were glad it was the day time and not at night!
It was a great show!  I loved the singing voices of the actors (especially Mr. Barrie), the choreography, the humor, the orchestra, and the magic of live theater!  (I'd like to go again, but don't think it's going to happen before it leaves.) :)
A happy family in front of the Civic Center after the show!
(Trav and I were a little challenged as to which side the camera was on!)

Flooding!

We have had so much rain this winter.  The mountains have gotten over 20 feet of snow.  The pass was closed for days.  However, because of all of that rain, we ended up with some minor flooding in the family room.  We flooded on New Year's Day about 12 years ago and could never really figure out how the water got in. We're still not sure.  Luckily Chris Rossi was able to come over and loan us a fan and a dehumidifier to help pull the moisture out!  Hopefully it won't happen again! Now, we just have to deal with the noise for several days!

Christmas and New Year's in Utah!

This year, since my parents moved to Utah in April, we were spending both Christmas AND New Year's in Utah.  We were supposed to drive there the Friday before Christmas, but because of a huge snow storm over the Sierra's, we decided to leave on Thursday afternoon. We had a very full and crowded car!  We drove straight through and arrived in Utah about midnight our time.
Friday was a quiet day hanging around the house. I came down with a cold on Thursday so I spent most of the day sleeping!  We did go out to a yummy dinner at Maddox in Brigham City. That night BJ's family arrived .  Saturday was Christmas Eve.  The whole family (minus Drew's family who didn't come and Kellie who had strep) came over to  spend the afternoon.  We did some crafts and decorated some cookies.  Later that evening we had a soup dinner and a Christmas program.  (Not sure how I managed to get no pictures!)  Christmas was on Sunday this year and Santa managed to find us in Utah!
We woke up to a white Christmas!  We ended up getting about 6-8 inches of snow! It was very beautiful!
Santa brought Calissa a new iPhone and case.
Conner was give a laptop from Santa! They were both very happy with their presents.

Calissa showing off her new yoga pants.
One of the best parts of the day was getting to Skype with Parker before church. He is doing so well and is so happy! Grandma and Grandpa Burr were able to Skype in with us as well.
We were able to get some pictures from the Senior Couple in Suriname.  They had all the missionaries in the country over for Christmas Eve.  They put on the Nativity and had a yummy dinner.
Parker playing one of the Three Wise Men.

 Happy Missionaries!
We are so grateful for the Crawford's for all that they do for the missionaries! We had received an email from them early in December asking for a letter (email) to give to our missionary.  They collected them from the parents and gave them to each missionary on Christmas Eve. Little did we know that they had had each missionary write to us on Thanksgiving.  They scanned them an emailed them out to each family on Christmas Eve.  What a wonderful thing to receive!
Christmas night everyone came over for dinner and to open presents to each other and from Grandma and Grandpa. Here is Kevin scooping ice cream with a oven mitt on!  :)
Everyone gathered downstairs to open presents on Christmas night!
We missed Drew and Tina's family!
Some of the cousins playing games.
Monday, we went to go see "Sing," visited See's Candy, and out to dinner at Costa Vida.  Tuesday, we went to the Dart Side.  We had fun battling it out!
 Abby got hit.
Conner, Uncle BJ and Aunt Kellie
Wednesday morning, after a yummy breakfast we drove to Bountiful to spend 5 days with Trav's family.  We enjoyed our time there.  Calissa had fun sledding in the backyard and playing in the snow with cousins!

"One cannot live on pizza alone ... you also need a little dough!"
Calissa and Conner both enjoyed meeting their new cousin Dexter!

During our trip we went to Neilson's a few times to get concretes, we visited a house all decorated for Christmas (like overload in every room, but it was pretty cool!), Trav went skiing, we talked a lot, and we went bowling.
New Year's Eve night, the whole family went to the church for a "Murder Mystery Masquerade Ball." Our family all ready to go!
Mingling and playing our parts to try and figure out who the killer is.  (Jordan ended up dying part way through the night).

 The whole gang!
We left on Sunday (New Year's Day) after church to start heading home. There was another bad storm over the pass so we decided to drive home via Las Vegas.  We stayed the night in Barstow and drove the rest of the way home on Monday. We had another fun trip to Utah!
Parker sent a picture of his study area.
