Parker's Eagle Court of Honor

Parker finally had his Eagle Court of Honor last Friday night.  He received his Eagle Award in November, but we were waiting for the certificate and badge.  Finally towards the end of January, beginning of February, I finally asked about it.  Our Committee Chairman said he'd look into it and they found his things at the Scout Office ... they had been there since the end of November.  Oops!  They said they sent out an email, but no one went and picked it up.
Finally, a few months later we were able to find a date that worked and it was scheduled!
Then, we got the invitations out and then finally worked on the program and food.  It's a lot of work to put these together for the first time.  It will be much easier when Conner gets his award since we've already done it once!

Here are a couple of pictures that were taken during the ceremony.  Parker is pinning the "Mother's pin" on me.  Below, Travis is putting his Eagle neckerchief on him.

Here is a great frame that was given to me from a co-worker at Monte Gardens.  Her son had gotten his award, but hadn't used the frame, so she gave it to us!
Our "Red, White, & Blue" treats!
 Fruit Salad
 Chips and Salsa
 Snickerdoodles
 Red Fruit Punch and Water
And this great cake made by Debbie Roark. She did a great job!
 Congratulations Parker!
Cutting the first piece of cake.
The program was in the chapel, followed by the reception in the multi-use room.  The program went just about an hour.  We are so grateful for those who participated and those who came to celebrate with him!

 Aunt Tina and Emily.

Riley Jo and Christopher (and Nathan and Grandpa)
 Parker ... the main man!
 The Kendalls and the Daynes.
 Scouts enjoying the food!

Can you believe that we didn't get a picture with the parents????
Ugh!  We may have to re-create that one of these days!
Congratulations Parker!  We are very proud of your accomplishments!
