Parker had his cross country team party last weekend. The regular season was over the beginning of November, but with NCS and the State meet it was good that they waited! Ronnie's family was gracious in opening up their house for the party. They had a potluck dinner.
Congrats to the Varsity team for coming in 10th at NCS! Their 2nd highest finish ever.
After dinner, we watched a DVD that I had put together of the season, had awards, and then the team did a gift exchange.
Parker received quite a few awards for the season
(including Athlete of the month from the Athletics Boosters for the 4th or 5th time).
He received the MVP award,
a team captain award,
his gold "C" letter after 5 Varsity seasons,
a scholar athlete award for CHS,
a scholar athlete award for NCS,
a distinguished scholar team award (team average),
and his state championship award.
His coach had some great things to say about him and how hard he works. He's already talking about booking rooms for the state meet next year. Congratulations Parker on a great season!
