We Have a Teenager!

I know you are all saying that there is no way that Travis and I could have a teenager. Well, it's true! Parker turned 13 on Tuesday, December 1st. We celebrated his birthday on Monday night at Elephant Bar.
We continued celebrating on Tuesday morning with homemade cinnamon rolls with a candle and hot chocolate.

He opened his present before school.

He was very excited to get the whole Harry Potter series ...

but might have been more excited about the $40 taped to the back of the box.

Unfortunately, Travis and I had to go to Utah for his sister's wedding and couldn't celebrate the rest of the day with him. He told me that the 8th graders in his Algebra class sang to him, the von Savoye's brought him a balloon and took him to frozen yogurt after school. Grandma made him a favorite dinner, he got to go to Basketball practice and then ice skating until 10:30 that night. They even wished him a happy birthday over the loud speaker at the ice skating rink. Sounds like he had a pretty great day!

He had a friend over to spend the night the weekend before for his birthday. We told him he could have a friend over and they could go do something (laser tag, movie, dinner, etc.). They ended up playing video games the whole time and wanted Little Caesars for dinner. (Cheapest birthday party ever!)

We are very blessed to have Parker in our family. He is a great son, brother and friend to those around him! (Hopefully that teenager stuff will just pass him by! We can hope, right?)
