Every 15 Minutes

Conner had the opportunity to participate in the Every 15 Minutes program over the last several months. He was selected to participate in January and attended meetings and planned until this week.  The premise is the every 15 minutes someone dies from an alcohol related car crash. A car crash is staged on campus and several students die.  Conner was taken out of class and represented one of the "living dead."  It was an emotional time for all of us, even though you know it's not real.  The grim reaper came into his classroom to take him, they read his obituary and left a rose on his desk.  He was taken away and no-one saw him until the next day at the memorial service.
We were glad that he had the opportunity to participate and help other students realize that their choices matter not only to them, but others as well.
