Parker's in ... Guyana?

Parker left the MTC last Monday.  Unfortunately, Elder Hunt and Sister Parker had to go to Mesa, AZ because their Visa's didn't come through.
Parker with the MTC presidency.
We were able to talk with Parker on Monday morning when he flew to Trinidad.  He called that morning from SLC and then from his layover in Houston.  It was so good to talk to him! I was working when he called from Houston, but I was able to take a break and patch Travis in.  Parker was excited and a little nervous.
They made it through customs and to the Mission President's house in Trinidad.
He and Elder Buehler spent the night in a hotel near the mission home ... and then headed to Guyana on Wednesday.  We were surprised when we got a letter from the mission that he was being assigned to Guyana, but he's happy there.  I guess Suriname is having some Visa issues, so he's there until further notice.

His companion is Elder Cook from Colorado. He's loving Guyana so far.

Except for the mosquitoes!
