Utah Summer Trip

We had another great week in Utah this summer.  We left on Saturday and got to see a beautiful sunrise on our way out of town.  (One of the perks of leaving so early in the morning).
We got to Utah in our normal amount of time and enjoyed pizza and Nielson's Frozen Custard that first night.  Sunday we went to church and Elder Anderson (Quorum of the Twelve) was attending his ward that day.  Seems like we get to see him most times we attend.  Pretty lucky!
Sunday night there was a beautiful sunset that we enjoyed while playing outside (and relaxing) after dinner.
Monday, we ran some errands and then went ice skating.  None of us brought long socks (or long pants for that matter).  Conner borrowed some LONG socks from Grandpa.
We had a fun time ice skating and escaping the heat.

Parker & Trav (right about where he fell and tweaked his shoulder).
Logan, Azure & Kaisen

Family picture (before Trav dislocated his shoulder falling a second time!)
I was done ice skating by the time he fell the second time (in the same place on the ice).  He said it was something weird with the ice.  We were getting him ready to take him to the hospital when his shoulder popped back in.  Poor Jami took off his stinky socks and skates and got his shoes on for him.  (Thanks Jami!)
The next day my crazy husband got up at attempted to go golfing.  Rob, Jordan, Parker, Trav (and Conner) went to play 18 holes of golf.  Trav managed to golf, but was babying his shoulder and tweaked something in his back.  It stinks to be getting old!

After they got back, we went to Boondocks for the day and got wristbands so we could ride everything.  Here are Calissa, Trav, Kennedy & I golfing.  Man it was hot!
Parker, Kaisen, Eisley, Jarom, & Conner golfing
After getting super hot riding the slick track cars and mini golfing, we decided to cool off on the bumper boats.

Jarom, Me, Trav, Calissa (before she jumped out and got in her own boat).
Conner, Maddie & Azure
It was a great idea for about the first minute ...
But then shortly became not such a great idea as we got soaked.  My hat was so wet it took all night to dry!
It did feel good though and cooled us off!
After the bumper boats we went inside an did some bowling and played some lazer tag.  (Well the kids played while Trav and I got an ice cream cone.  Shhh!  They don't know).
Here is Trav icing his shoulder after a long day playing.
Wednesday we hung out around the house and played games.  I went to visit my friend Andria Pulu that afternoon.

Here are some beautiful pictures of Trav's parents back yard!
Thursday, we went to Jami and Teylor's house for some hang out time there.  We had lunch, the kids played, we shopped at the outdoor mall down the street, had dutch oven for dinner and then headed to the mall to watch the water show in the fountain there.  It only played one song each hour.  We enjoyed hanging out on the (fake) grass that night and watching the fountain.
Friday we went to visit my Grandpa in Layton and took him out to lunch.  After visiting with him we met everyone and went swimming at the Rec Center in Bountiful.

It was pretty hot and humid in there, but the kids (and some adults) had a great time.
After going home for dinner, we went back to the park and watched Jordan perform in a patriotic concert.
There was a band (of service men/women) that performed and the choir that Jordan is a part of.
It was a nice hour long free concert.  After that, we went to Neilson's for one more concrete.  Yum!
Saturday, we took off in the morning with Calissa.  We left the boys in Utah because they were going to EFY the next week at BYU Provo.  Calissa came home and headed to Girl's Camp for the first time that Monday morning.
