Day 3 - Grand Cayman

Day 3 we were in Grand Cayman.  We got in about mid-day and once we got ashore, we boarded a bus and headed to Boatswain's Adventure Park.

The have the only turtle farm in the world.  It was really neat to see all those turtles up close!

Not only could we see the turtles, but we could pick them up and hold them!  Calissa got into the tank with the little ones and loved it!

(There were lots of iguanas!)

Once you pick them up, they still move around.  If you rub them under their necks, they calm right down and just let you hold them peacefully!

They also had a fresh water swim lagoon and a salt water snorkeling lagoon.  We started off in the fresh water side and decided to do a little swimming.

We all went down the water slide.  It went pretty slow, but was fun!  Here is Calissa coming down the slide.

As you can tell, the pool was huge and there was hardly anyone there!

We swam over to the waterfall and took a picture underneath.

My parents didn't bring their swim suits and Conner didn't want to get in the water at the time, so they headed over for lunch and to explore the rest of the park.  They had all kinds of birds and other things.  They even saw a snake along the path (not one of the exhibits)!

Here is the snorkeling, salt-water side.  It was a beautiful park.

Parker, Drew and Travis decided to do a little snorkeling before we headed back to the ship.

Having fun!

Conner got a little nervous when he first tried to hold a turtle because it smacked him and then he dropped it back into the water.
Photobucket
Lindsay loved the turtles!

Conner finally held one!
Photobucket
Calissa with a big turtle!  It was a really cool shore excursion and we talked about holding those turtles for days!

The show for the night was Buckets N Boards.  They do a comedy percussion show.  We loved it again and ended up buying their DVD.  That night after the show, we headed to "The Tube" for a family dance party.  Conner and Parker ended up on the Sport's Deck, but Calissa and I danced (while Travis watched) and Lindsay and Christopher did too!

That night at dinner our servers came over to Lindsay because she was being a little fussy.  One took a crayon and drew right on the tablecloth.  I guess crayon comes out in the wash?  Anyway, he was a great artist and drew Donald Duck another night.  They also gave us some brain teasers as well.  They are so great each night!  We loved our servers and also our room hosts.  I love that they cut the kids' food each night.  Conner was spoiled by having his steak cut every night and Calissa even got her chicken fingers cut!  They put the ketchup on the plate in the shape of Mickey!

Tonight, Travis, Drew, Tina and I went to the Tube to see the adult cabaret show by John Charles.  So fun to spend an hour laughing and singing.  He was the best cabaret show we saw on the ship!

Nightly towel art.  The kids loved the turn down service because they got a "Sleepy" Chocolate every night!
