On Wednesday we jumped in the car and headed off to Utah for a few days. Our niece, Sadie was getting married and we decided we'd love to join her and Trever for their special day. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and surprised Jami, Teylor, Kaisen and Kennedy at Kaisen's baseball game. I even got to keep the score-book at his game! Made me feel right at home! Thursday we ran a few errands, helped Trav's mom with her preparations for Activity Days, Calissa got to go to Activity Days with Grandma and then we went to Kaisen's game again (where I again, got to keep score). We got to see Azure's family and MiQuelle's family that night for dinner too.Friday was the big day! We got all dressed up and headed in to the Salt Lake Temple. The kids couldn't come into the temple for the ceremony so we dropped them off in the visitor's center to watch a movie and then look around Temple Square. The sealing started late and went long, but the kids were waiting right where we told them to be. (I did feel a little funny leaving them there, but they did great!)
After meeting back up with the kids we went into a waiting area inside since it was soooooo cold! It was windy, the clouds were coming in and it was starting to snow! (26 degrees with the wind chill ... we were freezing!) While we were waiting, we ventured outside for a few pictures. Conner had his picture taken in front of the temple to use in his state report about Utah which is due this week!

Cute picture of the kids!
(Calissa has a jolly rancher in her cheek!)
Our family!
One more in front of the temple.

Conner, Parker, Jarom, Eisley and Kaisen
Sadie and Trever
It was REALLY cold ... have I mentioned that yet?
One more picture of the kids. If you click on this picture, you can see the snow flakes blowing on by. We ran inside to warm up and then headed out for a bite to eat at Wendy's.
After a quick bite to eat, we rushed to the ring ceremony at the Blue Lemon in Highland, UT. Here are Sadie and Trever right after the ceremony. Sadie looked beautiful!
We had to stand around for a few minutes while they set up the tables for the reception. By then, the snow was coming down pretty good! Travis had left to fly home that night and he said there was quite a lot of snow on the freeway as well, but he made it safe.
Everything at the reception was beautiful! Calissa especially liked the diamonds and was happy when Aunt Jennifer said she could take some home!
Jordan and MiQuelle.
Maddie, Melanee and Robert (Grandma and Grandpa)
Beautiful!
Isn't the back of her dress pretty?
My boys were not excited to go over there.
Sadie's brother, Ryan caught it.
Calissa hoping to catch the bouquet!
First dance.
Logan, Maddie, Kennedy and Kaisen were dancing machines that night.
Hopefully they all slept good that night, because they were exhausting to watch!
So cute though!
Parker dancing with his Grandma.
The reception was over a little after 9:00 PM and we got out of there about 9:45. We didn't have any snow until we hit Bountiful and I was glad that Robert was driving when we did.
I left with the kids to drive home about 9:15 AM Utah time and we made it home after and uneventful trip about 7 PM California time. Conner said a prayer as we were leaving that I wouldn't crash the car. Guess it worked!
