We left on Friday to fly to Florida really early in the morning. We got to the airport with no troubles and boarded our flight for Orlando. We had a short stop in Atlanta, but made it there in great time. We arrived at the Orlando airport, checked into our hotel and went and grabbed dinner. Drew, Tina, and kids, and my parents were supposed to arrive 45 minutes after us, but they ended up being delayed almost 4 hours! After dinner the kids did a little swimming and then we headed to bed fairy early since we had been up since 3:45 am!
The next morning we got up and packed up our bags and headed down to check in for our shuttle to the port. We boarded our Disney Cruise Line Express and it dropped us off at the port. We only had to wait about 20 minutes until it was our turn to board the new ship.
Anxiously awaiting our turn to board the new Disney Fantasy!
The kids area on this new ship is HUGE!! Here is Calissa in the Oceanean Club.
There were so many really cool rooms in there. They had computers, crafts, toys, play structures, a light up dance floor, cooking lab, etc. Calissa loved going there because there was always something to do!
Here is the bathroom! So cool!
After checking out Calissa's club, we checked out the Vibe, the teen club. This was the coolest place on-board the ship! We enjoyed checking it out and found out Conner could go as well if we signed a waver (since they needed to be 14).
Cool little pod to watch TV, play video games, or listen to music!
They even had their own pool and hot tub!
Unfortunately, they never went! They had too much fun in other areas of the ship! Maybe next time?
Here is our room. It was pretty good sized. The bed was soooooo comfy! Seriously!
After our life boat safety drill we headed up to the deck for the Sailing Away party.
Drew, Christopher, Tina and Lindsay joined us. Not sure where my parents were, but we had fun!
Here we are showing off our dance moves.
Conner, excited?
Calissa dancing away!
Our first night we had the Fantasy Come True show and they highlighted Buckets 'n Boards who were performing later on in the cruise. They were so funny and very talented! We took a picture with them after the show. I told them that Calissa had leaned over after about 30 seconds and said, "I love these guys!" They said, "Yeah, it usually only takes about 30 seconds ... they either love us, or hate us!"
After the show, we headed into one of the Lounges for the Mirror, Mirror Game Show. We were in the Doc section.
Grandma helped Calissa as they competed with song lyrics.
Conner and Calissa did a race thing against the other teams. They didn't explain it very well and chaos ensued. We were laughing so hard we were crying!
Calissa had to dress up as one of the dwarfs and then Conner had to run and get a jewel and then Calissa had to put in the wall. Her outfit was a little too big, her skirt was sticking out the back and she kept falling down! It was so funny!
Here is a beautiful picture Tina took at night on the upper deck.
We had dinner the first night in the Royal Court dining room. It was very elegant!
Here are the kids getting ready for bed in our room. Parker had the top bunk, Conner the bottom, and Calissa got the fold down Murphy bed behind her.
Our towel art from the first night!
We had a wonderful and full first day!
