Cross Country Team Party

We had our cross country awards party on Friday night at Fuddruckers. 

 One of the mom's made this amazing cake!

 So cool and it tasted super yummy too!

 We were a little rushed for time because CHS football made it to the division playoff game that was at 7:00 pm that evening.  We changed our party to 5:00 so that those kids who wanted to go, could leave and go straight there.   

 The kids both got a ton of awards, but the most exciting of the night was Conner getting his letter as a Freshman!  We are so proud of him!

Here are Parker and Zach giving the coach her thank you for a great season!  She stepped up at the last minute and we are so appreciative of her.  She's the first coach who actually was a runner in HS and College.  She's done a great job with the kids this year.  I'm sure they'll continue to improve in the coming years!

Distinguished scholastic team, combined un-weighted GPA of 3.66

 Scholar athlete award (un-weighted) 4.0

 Scholar Athlete award for CHS, 4.40 GPA

And a Varsity Athletic Award

He also received a certificate for state (that I'll add later since she forgot to give it to him at the party)

 He also received the MVP award!

The coach had made him another plaque celebrating his undefeated season, but they misspelled his name (Park Burr) so she's getting it fixed.  I'll post a picture once we get it back.  It was a really nice looking award!

 Parker also got selected as Athlete of the Month for December at CHS.  His coach had some nice things to say about him!
