We had our "Romer Reunion" last week at Jenkinson Lake in Pollock Pines. We rented a group campsite (same one as 3 years ago) and had a great three days!
We bought a new tent for the occasion. Hip hip hooray! I can stand up in it!!
It was pretty hot there, but we had our own private dock and beach just down a short path to the lake. Drew brought his boat, and Kevin brought five kayaks and two stand up paddle boards. We had so much fun playing on those in the lake!
Trav and I (with beautiful scenery)!
The lake was pretty warm and as you can see, we had a lot of fun playing in it!
Emily loved playing in the water and with the rocks.
Conner loved the kayaks and paddle boards! He spent a ton of time out there paddling around.
Trav and I taking a paddle around the lake.
Chrystal, Tina, and Emily waiting for dinner.
Grandma brought some of her stampin' up stuff for the kids to play with. They had a lot of fun during the week during down time.
(Maddie, Calissa, Abby)
This place has a great big fire pit that we enjoyed each night. (It also has a big light on a pole that you can turn on in the evenings AND a couple of plugs - which were in high demand).
The first night had a gorgeous sunset. As I was heading down to take a picture, Drew told me that our inflatable boat had floated away from shore and was down by the dam. Conner grabbed one of the kayaks and paddled out (getting quite wet) to save it. A park truck stopped to tell us to get out of the water, but Drew explained what we were doing and they told us to have a nice night.

The grandkids singing with Grandma.
Parker borrowed grandpa's cot and enjoyed sleeping on that. Conner slept on a pad on the ground and Calissa slept in grandpa's 3 man tent with a couple of cousins.
Calissa enjoying the kid-sized kayak!
Isn't it beautiful?
Everyone got along so well. We had such a fun time!

They enjoyed balancing and then falling off!

Lindsay out on the lake all by herself!
Calissa got a few mosquito bites. (I think she might be allergic to them).
Poor Lindsay was wiped out and feel asleep on the beach.
Even Grandma went in the kayaks!
We each took a turn making a breakfast or dinner and then each family had their own lunches. Here is Conner eating lunch, but you can see the lake through the trees. We are super close to the water, but not so close that we were worried about the babies getting in.
Parker getting some sun on the dock.
Hi Trav!
I loved kayaking and paddle boarding too!
Conner on the whale.
A picture of all the grandkids. My dad had a picture of the grandkids from when we went three years ago. He really wanted to make sure that we did it again. So, three years later (in the same order) are all 14 of his grandkids!
Calissa playing in the mud.
Christopher being silly in Emily's boat.
Christopher, Sam & Nathan jumping off the dock.
The cousins had so much fun with my boys. Parker was tossing them off the dock,
then they decided to push him off. The boys were so good to them!
Tuesday afternoon it was our turn out on the boat.
Parker did some kneeboarding. He likes to live a little dangerously ... I know, shocking! He tried jumping over the wake and was doing great!
Calissa even kneeboarded.
She really enjoyed it! (Honestly, I was surprised she tried!)
Conner is the kneeboarding pro!
Just call him "360 man."
I did some kneeboarding,
and Travis water-skied.
He likes to push them limits,
and then he crashes!
As we were heading back in, Parker and Calissa decided to go on the tube. She was OK at first,
then not happy,
and then terrified!
She got off and then Parker continued on by himself for a while.
Thanks Uncle Drew for torturing Calissa! (And for all the fun time on the boat!)
Hold on Parker!!
Once we got back from camping, we unpacked, showered, and started the laundry. Then, we headed to the A's game! Sam wanted to sit between the big boys, Parker & Conner.
It was a well attended fireworks game.
Hi Lindsay and Tina!
Hi Chrystal, Kaylie, Danny & Maddie!
Conner, Trav, and I enjoying the game.
Then they let people down on the field. (Crazy!!)
The fireworks were great! Glad we went to the game. (Oh, and the A's won!)
The next morning on the 4th of July, we went to the park to play a little volleyball.
The girls and younger kids played at the park and enjoyed sitting in the shade.
Then, we went to Drew and Tina's to swim and have pizza.
We had a BBQ that night and enjoyed spending time together.
The last day we ended up out to dinner at Chili's.
We had a great family reunion and love spending time with the family!
