Conner has been super busy at the end of this school year! He's had a lot of projects that he's been working on and they are finally all turned in! HOORAY!!! In Math, he had to make a Power Point Presentation showing how to solve three different word problems. He did a great job and will present that tomorrow. In Science, he had to design a toy that used a science principal. He came up with the "Plauncher."
Or, the ping pong launcher!
He cut the bottom out of a coffee cup, tied the end of a balloon, then cut off the top. He then attached it to the bottom of the cup. Then, you put in a ping pong ball, pull back on the balloon, and then launch it into the air. If you have two "plaunchers" then you can try and catch it in the cup and then shoot it back.
It flies pretty far! Parker and Calissa were demonstrating how it works for his brochure he had to make.
He also came home on Friday with a 2nd place ribbon for the Triple Jump and a Gold Physical Fitness Award!
27 feet 9 inches! He puts those long legs to good use!
Conner is a great athlete and is in great shape. He earned top points on all of his fitness testing this year. He's looking forward to running cross country this coming year and playing volleyball. He's already getting in shape for cross country by running 2 miles while the rest of his class runs 1!
He had his 8th grade graduation party last night at the Bowling Alley and had a fun time. Last up this week is his 8th grade graduation on Thursday! Congratulations Conner on a great middle school career!
