Disney Cruise - Day One!

Saturday it was time to board the ship!!  We got up, showered, had breakfast, and then met our driver who took us to the ship.  We were soooo excited!!
Here's a nice view of the ship (out my window) as we were getting to the port terminal. (Our driver tried to take us to the wrong ship ... he was quickly corrected!)
We were on board the ship within the hour.  We had lunch and then checked out the kids club and registered Calissa. She is sad because this is her last cruise where she can go to the kids club.  She will have to go to the teen club the next time.
We enjoyed the first of many ice cream cones ...
and then got into our room to take a selfie on the balcony!
After attending a presentation for the Disney Vacation Club we had the mandatory life boat drill and then it was time for the sailing away party!
Getting ready to celebrate and set sail!

Having fun wrapping Calissa in the streamers.
If you look close in the middle bottom (left) of the screen you can see the boys and Travis on the screen!  With the ships' horn playing "When You Wish Upon a Star" we were off!  (I confess, I cry every time!)
As we started moving through the channel, we took a few pictures as we said goodbye to Florida and hello to the start of our adventure!

We enjoyed a show, "A Fantasy Come True" as well as a ventriloquist, Lynn Trefzger and a great dinner in the Enchanted Garden!

Disney Cruise - Travel Day

Our cruise was finally here! We were flying to Florida on Friday to board the Disney Fantasy for a 7-day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean.  We picked up my parents that morning to head into SFO to catch our flight.
We ended up parking at the Hyatt by the airport and took the shuttle over.  It had just starting raining on our way to the airport.  By the time we got there and got checked in the wind was blowing pretty hard and we had a steady rain.
Calissa and the boys were working on homework as we waited for our flight.
We got onto the plane on-time and then had to wait on the tarmac for about an hour while they fixed something on the plane and then as they waited for clearance to take off.  They ended up cancelling over 150 flights that day because of the weather.  Luckily, ours wasn't one of them.  However, the take off was pretty scary since we were bouncing around because of the bad wind and rain.
(This little girl was on both of our flights and was darling!  She loved playing with my boys and Calissa between flights! I think her parents appreciated the kids too!)
Luckily, we also made our connection in Atlanta (and our luggage did too)!  We only had about 15 minutes between landing and boarding the next plane.  We made it to Orlando and to our hotel late that night (but not so late CA time).  We ended up having pizza delivered about 1 am for dinner.  Then, it was off to bed to get ready to board the ship in the morning!

A couple of random pictures

Tyler left to go to the MTC to serve his mission to New York, New York South, Spanish Speaking.  This great group of guys went over to say goodbye!  We'll miss you Tyler!
We took a quick family picture at Lindsay and Steve's wedding reception!

Elephant Seals with Calissa

Last Wednesday I was able to go with Calissa and her friends on a trip to Ano Nuevo to see the Elephant Seals.  We met at the school early that morning (like 6:00 am) to drive up there for a 9:30 tour.
It was a gorgeous day on the coast and we had a beautiful drive there.  On the way, we stopped at Pigeon Point Light House to look for harbor seals and look at the light house.  Here's my group of girls.

 Good morning Calissa!
The sun was just coming up as we got there.  After about 20 minutes or so, we hopped back in the car to drive to the reserve for our tour.
We met Calissa's teacher and then headed out on our hike to meet our tour guide about a mile down the road.  It was such a gorgeous day!!
Here the girls are on the hike.
Here is our tour guide, Bill.  He was a nice guy and knew a lot about the Elephant Seals!
Here is a male Elephant Seal hanging out by himself.  We actually at one point were within about 2 feet of one.  They had been moving around and the ranger had to walk small groups of us past him.
Here is the big group of them on the beach.  They sure are noisy!
Calissa and I as we were getting ready to head back.

So glad I could spend this fun day with Calissa and her friends.

Another Court of Honor

We had another court of honor earlier this week and the boys each got a merit badge or two!
Congrats to my silly boys!
(Now we just need to get Parker's Eagle Court of Honor planned!)

Relief Society Pictures

We took some pictures in church today for a special Relief Society meeting coming up in March.  We had to show something that we do that is extraordinary!
Here are most of our RS Members showing that we take care of each other.
Another one showing how we uphold the Priesthood.
I love our ward!

Calissa's acting debut!

Calissa is in Drama this year and they performed their class play that they had been working on all Semester. She had one of the lead roles as Little Red Riding Hood.
Luckily, her friend had been Little Red Riding Hood for Halloween a couple of years ago and she let Calissa borrow her costume. (Her talented mom made the costume!)
She did such a great job and we really enjoyed the play!

She's a pro.  Not one mistake and we could hear her when she said her lines.
Looking forward to seeing her perform again!
Great job Calissa!
