Happy Easter!
(Somehow I managed to take blurry pictures)
Even though the kids are 13 and 16, the Easter bunny still came and hid Easter eggs at our house and left Easter baskets.
They searched for their treasures all over the back yard.
The finally found them all!
Easter afternoon we had a cell phone tragedy! Travis has had his old Samsung phone for years now and was trying to decide about upgrading. Kaiser would buy him an iPhone, but he wasn't sure he wanted to go that route. He finally decided to go for it and they purchased a brand new 64 gig iPhone. It arrived at the house a few days before Easter. That afternoon he decided to activate it and transfer over his contacts. He was in the kitchen with both phones on the counter while he was making some potatoes for Easter dinner. All of a sudden there was a huge crash in the kitchen. I asked what had broken. He replied, "nothing." I came into the kitchen and found this Corning-ware Mug on the ground. Somehow it had fallen out of a closed cupboard. As I was going to put it back, I noticed Trav's brand new cell phone on the counter!
Somehow that mug had opened the cupboard and landed right on the corner of his BRAND NEW CELL PHONE! It shattered the screen, and then bounced onto the floor. If it had been 1/2 inch to the left it would have hit the counter. If it had been 1 inch to the left it would have shattered his old phone! He just stood there in shock! He had already activated it, but still needed the code (which he couldn't see on his newly shattered screen). Luckily, he was able to call Verizon and transfer his number back to his old phone. He went into work the next day and told them what had happened. They laughed and said that no-one would ever believe that story so it must be true. Poor Travis! Luckily, Kaiser replaced his phone and now we are all paranoid about where he leaves it! An Easter to remember for sure!
