Calissa as a Lunch Worker

When I was subbing on Monday, Calissa came into the cafeteria to be the lunch worker.  She got to help in the cafeteria all week long.  She was pretty excited except for the day that she had to actually touch vegetables!  Even with the gloves on she could feel them!  She also didn't like the scratchy hair net.  Silly girl!

It was extra special because her good friend was a lunch worker that week as well!  She especially liked the Fudgsicle she got at the end of the week.

Talk Like a Pirate Day

I got to sub in the Special Day Class on "Talk Like a Pirate Day" which was on September 20th.  (Who knew there was such a day?)

We had lots of fun making pirate eye patches and talking like a pirate all day!

My Birthday

September 11th was my 38th birthday.  It was a low-key kind of birthday with it being on a Sunday as well as the 10th anniversary of the attacks on September 11th.  My family came over for dinner to help me celebrate.  

 I can't even remember what we had to eat, but we had a yummy chocolate cake for dessert.  (Dessert is the most important part, right?)

I received a couple new pair of running shoes from my family to get me ready for the Ragnar coming up in a few days.  Also, the kids each made me a card.  So, I'm another year older and (hopefully) wiser too!

Oh ... almost forgot!  I got a new vacuum for my birthday.  A Dyson ball!  Before you give Travis a hard time for that ... I did ask for it!
